The role involves managing and maintaining all Samarthanam websites and associated web platforms, ensuring regular content updates, smooth functioning, security, performance, accessibility, and alignment with the organisation’s brand guidelines. The role will also support the development of new pages, features, microsites, and online fundraising campaigns.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all Samarthanam websites and associated web platforms.
Ensure regular content updates, maintenance, and smooth functioning of all websites.
Develop new pages, features, and microsites as required.
Coordinate with the Communications, Design, IT, and Programme teams for website requirements.
Ensure websites are responsive, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with Samarthanam’s brand guidelines.
Monitor website performance, SEO, analytics, and overall user experience.
Ensure regular backups, security updates, and domain and hosting management.
Work towards improving website accessibility in line with WCAG guidelines.
Coordinate with external agencies or developers wherever required.
Proactively identify and recommend improvements across Samarthanam’s web ecosystem.
Plan and manage online fundraising campaigns and donation drives through Samarthanam’s websites, including campaign landing pages, donation journeys, and performance tracking.
Experience & Skills
5–8 years of relevant experience in website development and management.
Strong knowledge of WordPress/CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
Experience in managing multiple websites, hosting, and domains.
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics/Search Console, and website performance optimisation.
Understanding of web accessibility and responsive design will be preferred.
Ability to independently manage projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
