Vidya & Child partners with children from marginalised communities and their families through a child-centred, holistic approach that supports the complete education life cycle over 15 years, from early education through school to higher education through professional, vocational or work-linked pathways, and into careers.
Understanding each child's strengths, interests, abilities, aspirations, challenges and family circumstances is central to how we work. This enables us to combine academic learning, holistic development and sustained family engagement to support each child's education journey and future pathways.
Established in 1998, Vidya & Child currently works with approximately 2,000 children across four communities in Noida through four schools, from Nursery to Class 8, and four After School Support Programmes, from Classes 9 to 12 and through their transition to higher education and future pathways.
The Saathi (Teacher) for English, Class 3 to Class 8, is responsible for building children's confidence and competence in English as a second language—in listening, speaking, reading and writing—while nurturing their academic and holistic development.
Acting as a Subject Teacher and/or Class Teacher, the role involves connecting deeply with each child and family, facilitating activity-based learning, and consistently tracking each child's language progress until they transition into mainstream schooling.
