About the Role

Sunrise Learning Foundation, Sector 116, Noida, is looking for an experienced Male Special Educator to join our Vocational Training & Enterprises Unit, working with adolescents and young adults with special needs.

Understanding Each Trainee

We are looking for a Special Educator who can understand each trainee individually and identify:

• Their strengths and abilities
• Their interests and preferences
• How they work best
• The support they require
• How their abilities can translate into meaningful work opportunities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and vocational assessments of trainees
• Map individual strengths, interests, skills, and competencies
• Identify individual working styles and support needs
• Develop and implement IEPs and individualized vocational goals
• Plan appropriate work allocation and vocational rotations
• Monitor, document, and evaluate trainee progress
• Supervise and guide the Support Teacher team
• Develop workplace behaviour, independence, responsibility, and work readiness
• Ensure appropriate sensory and emotional regulation support
• Identify suitable vocational pathways based on individual competencies
• Support trainees in developing skills for meaningful work and greater independence

Vocational Training Areas

Based on their individual competencies, trainees receive appropriate work exposure and rotations across our vocational enterprises:

• Café, Bakery & Hospitality
• Creative Production Unit
• Digital Studio
• Packing Unit
• The Special Shoppe – Retail Management

Eligibility and Requirements

• Qualified Special Educator with valid RCI registration
• Experience working with adolescents and/or adults with developmental disabilities preferred
• Strong understanding of assessments, IEPs, and progress documentation
• Ability to conduct functional and vocational profiling
• Experience in team supervision or mentoring preferred
• Mature, observant, organized, and structured approach
• Ability to identify individual strengths, potential, and meaningful work opportunities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with trainees, families, teachers, and support staff
