Role Overview

The Business Development Intern will support lead generation and outreach efforts to drive client engagement. Responsibilities include identifying and sourcing relevant contacts, conducting outreach through calls, emails, and digital platforms to introduce services, and generating interest. The intern will also follow up with prospects to schedule meetings, ensure accurate documentation of all interactions, and maintain updated records in our database. Daily reporting to the central team is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and compile accurate lead lists of NGOs and corporate CSR teams through online research and verified sources for assigned regions.
• Conduct outbound outreach via calls to initiate conversations and present Forward Impact’s services using email and messaging platforms.
• Deliver compelling pitches and share relevant documents to communicate our unique service proposition professionally.
• Schedule and coordinate business meetings with organizational leadership and contribute directly to the closure of strategic partnerships.
• Maintain consistent engagement with potential clients through timely, professional follow-ups and updates.
• Accurately log all client interactions, relationship progress, and pipeline updates in the CRM or internal data sheets.
• Collaborate actively with the internal strategy team to identify new business development frameworks and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or freshly completed a Master’s degree.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel for maintaining lead sheets and databases.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High confidence in cold outreach, outbound calling, and service pitching.
• Prior outbound calling or corporate sales experience (via professional roles or internships) is highly preferred.
